Richard Named Global Ambassador for Skylum Software

Skylum Software
Richard Bernabe was recently named one of Skylum Software’s Global Ambassadors. Skylum, a software company based in Bellevue, Washington, is best known for the photo editing software programs Aurora HDR and Luminar.
Luminar in particular has become one of Richard’s favorite image editing tools. Available as a stand-alone product or a Photoshop or Lightroom plug-in, it’s a powerful, feature-rich, one-time purchase (no subscriptions) for professional raw and jpeg image editing and asset management solution.
Richard’s Thoughts
Luminar is a great stand-alone raw converter and image editing tool that requires no monthly subscription. You buy it, you own it. It also couples seamlessly as a plug-in for both Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop so you use these powerful tools to augment what editing tools you’re already accustomed to using and your existing libraries and organization.
My favorite feature in Luminar 4 is the AI Accent slider, a tool not found in Lightroom or Photoshop. AI Accent uses artificial intelligence to evaluate the image then “fix” any possible editing problems I might have missed. Too much contrast? Shadows too dark? Colors oversaturated? AI Accent makes changes based on its inelligent evaluation with a slider you control. You apply as little or as much as you like or you can ignore its recommendations altogether. I’ve found that if an image isn’t quite right and I can’t put my finger on why, AI Accent will find the fix for me.
